Ho passato vent’anni dentro i sistemi: modelli, processi, numeri. Prima ancora correvo i 110 metri a ostacoli: dieci barriere sempre alla stessa distanza, lo stesso gesto ripetuto ogni giorno per renderlo un po’ migliore.

I spent twenty years inside systems: models, processes, numbers. Before that I ran the 110 metres hurdles: ten barriers always at the same distance, the same gesture repeated every day to make it a little better.

Singularities usa un sistema rigoroso per mostrare l’unica cosa che non riesce a rendere uguale: la mano. Ho scelto la matita perché è lo strumento con cui ho sempre disegnato e pensato.

Singularities uses a rigorous system to show the one thing it cannot make identical: the hand. I chose the pencil because it is the tool I have always drawn and thought with.

Il primo colore è il verde dei miei occhi: il punto da cui guardo il mondo. Gli altri sono gli sguardi che mi hanno formato.

The first colour is the green of my eyes: the point from which I look at the world. The others are the gazes that shaped me.
